2020-21 Wellbeing Speaker Series
Dr. Graham Erwin, Stanford University and International Association for Human Values: Managing Stress in Times of Chaos

This unprecedented year has challenged us in ways we never could have imagined and changed the way we experience the world.  Such change and uncertainty can give rise to feelings of stress, anxiety and fear.

This is precisely the reason that Ridgewood Public Schools is thrilled to resume the Wellbeing Speaker Series, now in a virtual environment.  At 7:00 pm on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, the Community Outreach Program will present Dr. Graham Erwin, of Stanford University and the International Association for Human Values.  Dr. Erwin will share the science of emotion regulation and how to cultivate psychological resilience in challenging times.  He will guide a short medication and provide evidence-based tools you can practice at home.

Graham Erwin, Ph.D., is a Stanford Cancer Institute Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Genetics at Stanford University.  He is a molecular, chemical, and genome biologist whose work is guiding the design of new therapeutics and diagnostics for human disease.  Dr. Erwin is a strong advocate for programs that support mental health and psychological thriving.  He is a guest lecturer in Stanford's Wellness Education Program and has been a volunteer with the International Association for Human Values for many years.
