Strategic Plan

2019-2024

Vision 2024

In the spring of 2019, the Ridgewood Public Schools launched the strategic planning initiative with facilitators from TMI Education. Organized by a 16 member Strategic Planning Committee, the process began by gathering data, establishing a timeline, and seeking input from a wide range of members from the community. This diverse group of stakeholders, including parents, students, teachers, administrators, Board of Education members, village officials, and local organization representatives, were invited to attend an Information Session to learn about the goals and expectations of the Strategic Planning Council. The 64 member council engaged in three evening sessions to thoroughly examine the district's practices in the areas of learning, teaching, culture, community, and governance and to identify skills that our students must have to be successful in the future. Through the contributions of the council members and the guidance of the steering committee, a framework for the strategic plan was established, and the steering committee determined specific objectives and "Habits of Learning" that contribute to the ultimate goal of fostering Lifelong Learning in our students.
