This letter was sent home on October 10 to parents and guardians of students in grades 6-12. 

New security measures are outlined

Dr. Fishbein announced new safety measures for the district in this letter sent to parents and guardians in late September.

First Coffee & Conversation of the school year is October 10

Residents are invited for casual conversation with the Board of Education and Superintendent  Dan Fishbein on Wednesday night, October 10. The coffee will be brewing at the Education Center, 49 Cottage Place, from 7-8:30 p.m. for the first of two Coffee and Conversation nights this school year. Residents are invited to drop by with questions, suggestions and concerns about school-related topics of interest. The press release may be found here.

Dr. Fishbein presents Opening of School Report to the Board

At the September 17, 2018 BOE meeting, Dr. Fishbein recapped the summer projects and also reported on the first day of school. The presentation may be viewed here.

Dr. Fishbein answers questions on Board elections, process for capital projects

At the August 27 Board meeting, Dr. Fishbein presented the timeline for Ridgewood's Board of Education elections resulting from the public budget vote being restored by the Ridgewood Village Council.  This presentation may be viewed here.

Willard School has classroom fire

A small fire that erupted in a classroom at Willard School on July 25 was quickly contained. Dr. Fishbein's letter to the community about this incident may be viewed here.

Calendar survey results are presented

At the July 16, 2018 Board of Education meeting, Dr. Fishbein presented the results of the spring calendar survey sent to district parents / guardians and staff. The Board discussed possible changes to the 2019-2020 calendar based on the survey results. The survey results may be viewed here
