The deadline for submission of 2021 November election nominating petitions is Monday, July 26, 2021 before 4:00 p.m. to the Bergen County Clerk’s Election Division at One Bergen County Plaza, Room 130, Hackensack, NJ.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: As of July 19th, the Office of the Bergen County Clerk will NOT be accepting electronic petitions. The acceptance of electronic petitions was dependent upon the continuing of the Public Health Emergency as initially declared by Governor Murphy by Executive Order 103 and continued by subsequent Executive Orders. As Governor Murphy, by Executive order 244, has now terminated the Public Health Emergency declared in Executive Order 103, all Executive Orders and P. L. 2020, c. 55. Electronic petitions are no longer applicable, and their authority allowing for electronic petitions was also terminated with the termination of the previously declared Public Health Emergency.

Interested residents may download the nominating petition here. You may also pick up a hard copy of the nominating petition either at the Office of the Board Secretary at the Education Center, 49 Cottage Place, Ridgewood, or at the Bergen County Clerk’s Election Division at One Bergen County Plaza, Room 130, Hackensack.  The Bergen County Clerk's Office is fully open in compliance with County and State guidelines. Visitors must fill out a quick COVID questionnaire and have their temperatures read upon entry. Their office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.
The last day a School Board Candidate can withdraw from the General Election is August 24th.
