The Annual School Election to vote for candidates for the Ridgewood Board of Education and the school budget has been postponed until Tuesday, May 12, 2020 and will be conducted solely via vote-by-mail ballots, which will be mailed to all registered voters. Voters will NOT be required to affix postage. As per the executive order, the return postage will be prepaid. 

Pursuant to State law, ballots are considered timely if they are postmarked on Election Day (May 12) and received by the Board of Elections within 48 hours.  Voters are encouraged to submit their ballots early and not wait until May 12 to mail out their ballot. If the mailed ballot does not make it to the Board of Elections by 8pm on May 14, it will not be counted. 

The Bergen County Clerk's Office in the process of creating ADA accessible ballots. Voters who are visually impaired should reach out to the Bergen County Clerk's Office for accommodations.

Three Board seats and the annual school budget will be on the ballot.

One Board seat is an unexpired one-year term. Two Board seats are three-year terms.

The deadline for submission of 2020 April election nominating petitions is
Monday, March 2, 2020 before 4:00 p.m. to the Office of the Board Secretary at the Education Center, 49 Cottage Place, Ridgewood, NJ. Please note that this information has been updated, as it was confirmed that nominating petitions should be submitted to the Office of the Board Secretary at the Education Center and not the County Clerk's Office.
